"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord." -2 Timothy 1:7-8

Season 3: Glacier Wilderness. Episode 8: Family History Is Amazing!

This week we had a great half-mission training on Family History. It is so amazing and great! I learned so much at how to use family history.
Something simple of how it applies to missionary work is a way to connect and develop a relationship with someone.
So kind of how service opens the doors for people learning about the gospel or accepting missionary lessons and them being taught, it does that same thing.
Its also a really easy thing to talk to random people about.
"Hey How is it going?"
"Do you perchance know, with the 4th of July coming up, when your ancestors came to America and why they did? "
"Would you like to find out?"

Just some basic examples for you.

This is the talk our Mission President had us read before we attended.

Missionary, Family History, and Temple Work

I know family history can make a big difference in your life. You should try it out. If you don't know where to begin, talk to the family history specialist in your ward.

Now this next video is long, but I know it is a great example of what family history can do in helping you and your family. The Spirit of Elijah is SOO strong and does so much under the hood that we don't even understand. Try it out. I know that if can help your family even if your home is more Christlike or less Christlike than this families.

Love you all so much!
